Need help with my story.?

She could be hunting for a few reasons... 1) She wants desperately to hunt with her father; but since she is a girl he is protective and will not allow it because she is a girl. 2) Maybe he feels she is not old enough yet. (maybe both). Perhaps the dragon is only trying to protect itself from human's hunting it. As far as the claws... maybe when the claws go in it is like cutting into warm, soft butter. Perhaps there is a sort of venom that goes in and numbs and/or deadens that part of the body (it feels like it is asleep or not there), you only have minutes, or seconds until the venom starts to enter the veins and travel through the rest of the body. When they come out, then it hurts like hell. It could be like your body (or the body part) is all the whim of the dragon.
