I want to leave out the pecans in this recipe?

Would I need to adjust any of the other ingredients? Butter cookies- 1(18oz.) box butter cake mix; 1(3.4oz.) package butterscotch instant pudding mix; 1 cup canola oil; 1egg; one and one-fourth cups chopped pecans. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix cake and pudding mixes in bowl with spoon and stir in oil. Add egg, mix throughly and stir in pecans. Place teaspoonfuls of dough onto cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake for 8 or 9 minutes. Do not overcook. Yields 3 dozen cookies.
